Growing up with a mixed identity, being born in Minnesota but half raised in Kathmandu, led me to feel caught between two worlds. I often felt too American to fully embrace my Nepali heritage and too Nepali to completely fit in as an American. It was a struggle, and I sometimes saw this dual identity as a curse. However, during this particular trip, my perspective underwent a profound transformation.
